Lieutenant John Harrow never got used to being in an environment suit. It felt constricting, it limited his movements, it pinched in certain places and he could hear his own breathing inside the helmet - he found that to be particularly distracting.
Harrow and the rest of the six-man landing party walked out of the barge, their energy rifles ready and their onyx set to full sensor range. In front of him was Commander Stone who didn't seem to mind the suit, in fact, he never seemed to be bothered by anything. Harrow wished that he was as adaptable. Must be the discipline of tactical training, he thought.
“I thought this planet was in the Goldie Locks Zone, why do we still need these suits?” Sergeant Marcus Landrey's voice came through in Harrow's helmet.
“The air's very thin here, so unless you wanna get winded and keel over after walking five steps, you're gonna need the suit,” Harrow said turning around to get a full view of the terrain before looking back at the young trooper. “There are also trace elements of gases we can't identify here. So to be on the safe side we -”
“Be on full alert.” Stone's voice sounded in everyone's helmet. Harrow tightened his grip around the rifle feeling a little sheepish that he had to be told to shut up.
From the landing site, and as far as the eye can see, there was nothing but large flat rocks spanning the entire plain. There was an odd bush here and there but not much vegetation beyond that. John Harrow whistled softly at the desolate state of the land. It shouldn't have surprised him since he had scanned the terrain as the barge entered the planet's atmosphere but standing on there, the emptiness before him was so much more apparent.
“Alright boys, head out with your preassigned teammates to your coordinates. We'll meet back here in one hour, and keep your communications open. Lieutenant Wright, you're with me,” Stone said and walked off, Wright ran up after him.
“I guess it's you and me Landrey,” Harrow pat the trooper on the helmet. “This way.” The three teams each had a scientist and a tactical personnel, quite logical thought Harrow. Being a geologist he had his basic training to fall back on, but that was nothing compared to the skills a tactical officer, or in his case, a Ground Command trooper, had to offer should they run into trouble.
“We ran a heat signature scan before we landed, we didn't find anything large like animals or humanoid lifeforms. Still, we can't be too careful, this is terra incognita.” Harrow calibrated his onyx setting it to scan as well as record.
“Well if you ask me sir, this is a whole lot of nothing in all directions,” Landrey said.
“Which is a good thing Sergeant, if we're gonna make this planet our new home, it's better to find nothing.”
“Why?”
“You've not been reading up on our history kid. Let's just say we're not exactly known to be nice to inhabitants of new frontiers we intend to colonize.”
….
“I heard you've been very busy with a certain trooper Colfax.” Ensign Hank Bardeaux smiled coyly without looking away from the holoscreen. His fingers continued to dance across the controls which opened up more mini screens in front of him.
“Are there no secrets left on this ship?”
“Oh please, gossip's a great commodity to trade when you need a little distraction.”
“Right,” Carter Colfax grinned. “We're not jealous are we?”
“Somebody certainly thinks highly of themselves.” Bardeaux enjoyed the banter, although he couldn't tell if the lieutenant was teasing or flirting. He suspected it could be both. After all, he was familiar with Colfax's MO. Another screen popped up and the ensign nodded to himself. “Done!”
“How soon can we deploy the recce drones?” Colfax leaned in to look at the configuration on the holoscreen.
“We're ready now sir. We have ten on standby. These babies should be sturdy enough to enter orbit and scan the entire planet in under seventy-two hours.”
“Good work ensign.”
“Good work is still ahead... sir.” Bardeaux turned and pushed the bigger man against the wall. “Oh, and I never get jealous,” said the ensign and pressed his lips against Colfax's and felt the lieutenant reciprocate.
Colfax's mouth, his body and his scent was exactly as Bardeaux remembered. The firm grip on his arms was familiar too as the memories of that Crew Contact session, not long ago, came flooding back to the young ensign.
Colfax's big hands searched his body, reacquainting himself with Hank Bardeaux's every muscle and every curve. One of those rough hands squeezed the boy's left buttock and the other found its way up his thigh. Bardeaux sighed when Colfax kissed his neck, biting him playfully. He let out a little moan when he felt Colfax's palms at the base of his balls and his fingers along the neck of his scrotum. The hand closed around the fleshy bunch and squeezed, gently at first, and then turned into a firm tug.
Bardeaux widened his stance to allow Colfax better access to his jewels and the lieutenant took advantage of it. The ensign's mouth was agape when the hand slipped off his balls and moved to massage his already hard cock. His threw his head back and shut his eyes feeling the fingers from the other hand rub his anus though the thin fabric of his uniform. Colfax was great at sex, thought Hank, he was great at it because he could remember the exact buttons to push with every individual.
The kissing continued and Bardeaux wrapped his arms around Colfax's shoulders. He felt his foreskin being pulled back followed by the sensuous friction of two stubby fingers kneading his cockhead. A sole digit tried to wiggle its way up his ass and Bardeaux wished that he was naked right there and then, just so that the finger could be allowed in unhindered. He felt Colfax's tongue in his ear. But then suddenly, he felt nothing.
Colfax pulled away.
“What's wrong?” panted Bardeaux. “Do you wanna do this somewhere else?”
There was a look on Colfax's face that the ensign didn't recognize at first. An expression that soon looked a lot like embarrassment slowly turning into shame.
“I'm sorry, I really am. It's just... I mean it's not...” Colfax rubbed his face then his neck, all the while backing away.
There was an awkward moment of silence before Bardeaux managed a shrug. “Okay...” he said.
“Look, I've got some other things to look into, I'll check back in with you later. Just have the recce drones powered up and I'll notify you on the time to deploy.” Colfax struggled to regain his composure but all the boy took in was the look of bewilderment on the lieutenant's face.
Colfax turned, narrowly missing a bulkhead and stumbled a little more before finding the door and ran out. Bardeaux peered out of the room just in time to see Colfax walk briskly down the walkway and disappeared around a corner.
“What the hell was that?” said the ensign under his breath.

This is a very interesting planet you have here. Can't wait to see what is going to happen with it.
And as for the interaction between Colfax and Bardeaux, I have to say that I think Carter is in love, and he felt horrible for kissing someone else. Wonder what he is gonna do now.
Always one step ahead GableDan! Haha!
